Free checks for Websites, DNS, Email and Networks

WebTools offers simple, free tools that show how your connection, website, domain and email set-up look from the outside. Each check explains its result in plain language, with the technical detail available when you want it.

How we run the tools

• Checks run only when you ask for them. Opening a page with an address in the link fills in the form but does not start a check.

• We do not use accounts, and we do not track you from page to page.

• Results for public targets may be kept for a short time so a repeated check is fast. Checks about you, such as your IP address, are never saved.

• Limits on how often checks can run protect the service and the sites being checked.

Why did WebTools.site visit my site?

Someone used one of our tools to check your website, for example whether it is online, its certificate or its headers. Each check makes a small number of ordinary requests identified as ToolSiteCheck/1.0 (+https://webtools.site/about), only to the standard web ports, without cookies or credentials, and never to private networks. Results are cached briefly so repeated checks don't reach you again, and we limit how often any one site is checked. We don't crawl or index your site. If you have a concern, please contact us.
