Running a check

Choose a tool from All Tools, enter the address if the tool asks for one, and select the button to run it. The result appears below the form. Keyboard users can reach every control with Tab, and screen readers announce the result when it arrives.

Understanding results

• Pass: everything checked looks right.

• Attention: something may need a look; the result says what and why.

• Fail: something is wrong or could not be reached.

• Unable to determine: the check could not reach a clear answer, for example because a server did not reply in time.

"Too many checks"

Each kind of check has a limit per minute and per hour. If you reach it, wait a few minutes and try again. Repeatedly going over the limit pauses checks from your connection for a while.

A check says access is restricted

Checks from your connection have been paused or blocked. The message shows a reference; please include it if you contact us.
